Learn English with fun activities - The method that's gets you talking
PDL is a relatively little known teaching method deloped by Bernhard Dufeu and his wife Marie. Bernhard, who taught French at the university of Mainz in Germany for over 40 years, desired to develop a pedagogical approach that gave the learner as much freedom as possible. Although it was developed with adults in mind, this method is equally good for children. The PDL motto is " learning doesn't have to be difficult but can be fun". Spontaneity, creativity and getting a feeling of the language are very important aspects of this method. The target language is learned in a relaxed, informal atmosphere and speaking is practiced frequently in pairs and small groups using various activities and situations. In this way fears and inhibitions are reduced and eventually dissipated and the learners desire to speak awakened. Text books are not used, nor is grammar learnt as in a normal language lesson. Whatever your motivation for learning the language, be it to brush-up or further improve your present knowledge, the trainer's goal is to improve your language abilities while also enjoying the learning process. In PDL (Psychodramaturgieodramaturgie Linguistique) it is not necessary that everyone has the same level and this method caters admirably for classes of varying levels.
